Tote Bags in Bulk

A tote is the bag people already have with them, for the market, for files at the office, or as a giveaway carried away from a corporate launch. That spread across three different buyers is what keeps totes moving through the year instead of in short bursts around one season.

Description

These are tote bags in PU (polyurethane) and woven textile finishes, cut in structured, quilted, and soft shopper styles. Every piece in this range is generic and unbranded, with no third-party logos or hardware on any of it. Finishes vary widely, from plain solid colours to check print, quilted stitching, woven texture and embossed surface effects, but the panel size is cut consistently across the range so a mixed carton stacks and sells evenly.

The build varies more than the photograph shows. A structured base holds its shape standing upright on a shelf or a stall; a soft shopper style collapses flat when it is put down and needs to be hung or folded to display well. A lined interior keeps the bag's shape and stops loose items rubbing against the panel from the inside; an unlined bag is lighter and cheaper but a dark dye can mark light-coloured contents packed loosely inside it. Handle drop is the other detail that changes how a bag is actually carried: a short drop sits in the hand or the crook of the arm, a longer drop goes over the shoulder and stays there through a market walk or a bus journey.

Two kinds of buyer take this range in volume. Retailers and market traders take the printed, quilted and textured pieces, which sell on how they look and need no further work before they are on a stall. Promotional and corporate buyers take the plain solid colours, because a flat, unbroken panel is what takes a heat-transfer print or a screen-printed logo cleanly; a check print or a heavily quilted surface will not.

Specification

These are the points that decide what actually arrives in the container. Every one of them is confirmed against the specific supplier and against an approved sample before we quote.

Style Structured tote, soft shopper tote, and quilted tote in a single range, cut to a consistent panel size across styles so a mixed carton stacks and sells evenly.
Material PU (polyurethane) faux-leather panels or a woven textile face over a canvas backing. PU wipes clean after a market day; woven textile does not.
Base Structured pieces carry a stiffened, flat base that stands upright unsupported. Soft shopper styles have no stiffening and collapse flat when set down, so they display best hung rather than stood on a shelf.
Lining Lined totes hold their shape and keep loose contents from rubbing the inside of the panel. Unlined totes are lighter and cost less, but a dark interior dye can mark light-coloured items packed loosely against it.
Handle drop A short handle drop sits in the hand or the crook of the arm. A longer drop clears the shoulder and stays there through a market walk or a bus journey. Ask for the drop length in centimetres rather than judging it from the photograph.
Closure Open-top, zip-top, or magnetic snap. An open top is faster to load and unload on a stall; a zip or snap closure matters more where the bag is carried on public transport.
Pocket configuration Single open compartment or multiple exterior pockets. Multi-pocket styles cost more per piece and give more surface area for a logo, against a plainer single-compartment tote's lower unit price.
Finish and pattern Plain solid colour, check print, quilted stitch pattern, woven texture, or an embossed surface effect. Pattern and texture sell on sight; plain solid colours are what a printed logo needs.
Branding Heat-transfer print, screen print, or a sewn-in woven label, all clean on a plain solid panel. Textured, embossed, and printed-pattern bodies do not take branding well and are best ordered to sell as they arrive.
Minimum order 1,000 pieces across the whole order, not per colour or per style. Colours and styles are mixed freely within that figure.
Packing Individually polybagged or bulk packed, with the style and colour assortment set per carton. This decides how much sorting happens before the first piece can be sold.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.

Minimum order

1,000 pieces across the whole order. Not 1,000 of each colour or each style. Structured, quilted, and shopper totes are mixed freely within that 1,000, so a first order can carry several finishes instead of committing to one.

That is worth checking against any other quotation you hold. Minimums in this trade are usually counted per style or per colour, which is where buyers lose money: three styles on a per-style minimum of 1,000 is a 3,000-piece commitment and three times the cash. Ask every supplier whether their figure is per order, per style or per colour, and get the answer in writing.

Custom branding, non-standard colours, and made-to-order sizes each tend to carry their own minimum on top of the base figure. A first order is nearly always better placed on stock finishes in the standard size, with branding added only on the plain solid colours that take it cleanly.

What decides the right one

Base and lining decide how the bag behaves once it is actually loaded. A structured, lined tote holds its shape through a full trading day on a stall or a desk; a soft, unlined shopper is lighter to stock and cheaper to land, but it goes flat the moment it is set down and shows every crease of what is inside it.

Handle drop decides how the bag is carried, not just how it looks folded flat in a photograph. A short drop is a hand-carry or crook-of-the-arm bag, fine for a quick market trip. A longer drop clears the shoulder and stays there through a bus journey or a walk across a market, which is what most everyday-carry buyers actually want.

Pattern against purpose comes next. Check print, quilting and embossed textures sell themselves on a market stall and are close to impossible to brand well, because a printed logo across a busy surface reads as a mistake. If the bags are going out as a corporate or promotional giveaway, order the plain solid colours and accept that the logo is what has to sell them.

Then the sample, which is the one part of this worth being slow about. Approve a physical piece before bulk production starts and keep it in your office. It settles every argument afterwards, and without one you have no position at all when the goods do not match the conversation.

Common questions

What is the minimum order for tote bags?

1,000 pieces across the whole order, not 1,000 of each style or colour. You can mix structured, quilted and shopper totes within that 1,000, so a first order can carry several finishes rather than committing you to one.

Can I mix styles and colours within the minimum?

Yes. The 1,000 pieces is counted across the whole order, so you choose the style and colour split inside it. Tell us the breakdown you want and we build it into the quotation.

Are these designer or branded bags?

No. Every piece in this range is a plain, generic tote with no third-party logos, monograms or brand-specific hardware. What you see in the catalogue is what arrives; any branding on the bag is whatever you choose to add.

Can I put my own logo on these?

Yes, by heat-transfer print, screen print or a sewn-in woven label, and it works cleanly on the plain solid colours. A check print or a heavily quilted surface will not take a logo well, so order solid bodies for anything you plan to brand.

Which style holds up best for daily market use?

A structured tote with a stiffened base and a lined interior. It stands upright on a stall, keeps its shape through a full trading day, and its longer handle drop clears the shoulder for the walk to a bus or a market gate.

Are prices shown in the catalogue?

No. The catalogue is images only. What a tote costs you depends on quantity, specification and the exchange rate on the day, so we quote per order with every line itemised.

Tell us the styles and the quantity

Send the reference numbers from the catalogue, or just describe what you want. Tell us the style and colour split you have in mind across the thousand and whether the bags need your own branding. We will come back with the specification to insist on and what it lands at in Naira with every line itemised.

There is no charge for it and it commits you to nothing. If the quantity you have in mind sits below the minimum, we will say so and suggest the version that works.
