Men’s Crew-Neck T-Shirts in Bulk

A plain crew-neck tee is the cheapest thing on this site to move, and it moves everywhere at once. It is under-shirt, uniform base, market giveaway and everyday wear all at the same time, and that is precisely why it sells in volume rather than in a single burst.

Description

These are men's crew-neck t-shirts on a single jersey knit, in solid colours and a few lightly printed designs. There is no collar, no placket and no ribbing to speak of beyond the neckband, which is the whole point: fewer components mean a lower cost per piece and a faster cutting and sewing run, and that is what lets this style undercut a polo or a collared shirt on shelf price.

The knit is flat single jersey rather than the pique or interlock used on a polo. That keeps the cloth light and cheap, but it is also why a crew-neck tee shows every seam and every stretch mark after a few washes if the fabric weight is too low. Fabric weight is the one figure on this product worth arguing about before you order, because two tees that look identical in a photograph can differ by 40 GSM and behave completely differently on the rail.

Two buyer groups take this style in volume. Market and retail traders take the printed and lighter-weight tees, which sell on price and turn over fast. Uniform buyers, event organisers and companies take the solid colours in heavier weights, because a plain crew neck screen-prints or embroiders cleanly and holds its shape through repeated washing better than a thin one does.

Specification

These are the points that decide what actually arrives in the container. Every one of them is confirmed against the specific supplier and against an approved sample before we quote.

Style Men's short-sleeve crew-neck t-shirt. Set-in sleeves, straight hem, ribbed or self-fabric neckband. No collar or placket.
Knit Single jersey, flat knit. Lighter and cheaper per piece than the pique or interlock used on a polo shirt, but with less body and more show-through in pale colours.
Fabric weight Commonly 140 to 180 GSM for this range. Below about 150 GSM, white and pale colours go semi-transparent under normal daylight, which matters if the tee is worn without an undershirt. Ask for the GSM figure in writing; a photograph will not show it.
Composition Cotton, cotton-polyester blends and full polyester are all standard here. Cotton breathes and suits this climate. A polyester-heavy blend resists shrinking and holds a printed design longer, but sits warmer on the skin.
Neckband Ribbed neckband on most of the range, self-fabric on a minority. A ribbed neckband keeps its shape through repeated stretching over the head; a self-fabric band on thin cloth loosens and sags faster, which shows within the first few washes.
Print and colour Plain solid colours across the full range, plus a smaller set of lightly printed chest designs. Prints are placed on the chest only, not full-body graphics, so they add minimal cost per piece over a plain tee.
Minimum order 1,000 pieces across the whole order, not per colour or size. Colours, prints and sizes are mixed freely within that figure.
Size range Typically S to 4XL on the Asian grade. Ask for the measurement chart in centimetres rather than trusting the letters. Asian sizing runs smaller than Nigerian buyers expect, and a shipment of Larges that fit like Mediums is the most common complaint on a first apparel order.
Branding Screen print, heat transfer or embroidery are all possible on a factory order, on solid-colour bodies. Stock purchases of the printed designs arrive with whatever the mill already applied and cannot carry your own logo.
Packing Individually polybagged or bulk packed, with the size assortment set per carton. This decides how much sorting your staff do before the first piece can go on sale.

We do not publish prices, because the landed figure depends on the specification, the Customs valuation and the exchange rate on the day you pay.

Minimum order

1,000 pieces across the whole order. Not 1,000 of each colour, and not 1,000 of each size. Colours, prints and sizes are mixed freely within that 1,000, so a first order can carry six or seven colourways instead of tying up capital in one.

That is worth checking against any other quotation you hold. Minimums in this trade are usually counted per colour, which is where buyers overcommit: six colourways on a per-colour minimum of 1,000 is a 6,000-piece order and six times the cash tied up before a single piece is sold. Ask every supplier whether their figure is per style, per colour or per size run, and get the answer in writing before you commit.

Custom screen printing, embroidery and non-standard colours each tend to carry their own minimum on top of the base figure. A first order is nearly always better placed on stock solid colours in a standard size run, with branding added once you know what sells.

What decides the right one

Fabric weight against use comes first. A light tee undercuts everyone on price and is exactly what a market trader wants to move fast. It is also the one most likely to draw a complaint if it is white and thin enough to see through, so match the GSM to whether the buyer is wearing it alone or under something else.

Then plain against printed. A plain crew neck takes a logo cleanly and holds its shape through repeated washing if the neckband is ribbed rather than self-fabric. A printed design sells itself on a market stall without any further work, but it is fixed at the factory and cannot carry your own branding on top.

Then the colour and size split, which the mixable minimum lets you actually use. A thousand pieces spread across six or seven colourways and a full size run tells you what your specific market takes, and a repeat order is then placed on evidence rather than on a guess.

Then the sample, which is the one part of this worth being slow about. Approve a physical piece, check it against a light source for see-through and against a tape measure for the size chart, and keep it in your office. It settles every argument afterwards, and without one you have no position at all when the goods do not match the conversation.

Common questions

What is the minimum order for crew-neck t-shirts?

1,000 pieces across the whole order, not 1,000 of each colour. You can mix colours, prints and sizes within that 1,000, so a first order can carry several colourways rather than committing you to one.

Can I mix colours and sizes within the minimum?

Yes. The 1,000 pieces is counted across the order, so you set the colour split and the size run inside it. Tell us the breakdown you want and we build it into the quotation.

What fabric weight should I ask for?

This range commonly runs 140 to 180 GSM. Below about 150 GSM, white and other pale colours go semi-transparent in daylight. If the tees will be worn on their own rather than layered, ask for 160 GSM or above and get the figure confirmed in writing.

Can the t-shirts carry my company logo?

Yes, by screen print, heat transfer or embroidery on a factory order, on solid-colour bodies. The lightly printed designs already carry a fixed chest graphic and cannot take your logo as well, so order plain colours for anything that needs branding.

Why do the sizes come up small?

The grade is Asian rather than European. Ask for the measurement chart in centimetres instead of relying on the size letters, and a shipment of Larges that fit like Mediums stops being the usual outcome.

Are prices shown in the catalogue?

No. The catalogue is images only. What a t-shirt costs you depends on quantity, fabric weight and the exchange rate on the day, so we quote per order with every line itemised.

Tell us the colours and the quantity

Send the reference numbers from the catalogue, or just describe what you want. Tell us the colour and size split you have in mind across the thousand, the fabric weight you need, and whether the tees need your own branding. We will come back with the specification to insist on and what it lands at in Naira with every line itemised.

There is no charge for it and it commits you to nothing. If the quantity you have in mind sits below the minimum, we will say so and suggest the version that works.
